1 Corinthians 13:11a
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child
I remember being young and innocently in love with God. I truly and wholly found shelter in the very thought of Him, and when I danced (as I have stated before I began dancing at the age of 4) even though it was not dedicated to Him, I had peace. It has been said that today’s youth are going through so much more than we did when we were younger, I will submit to you that if this is so, then we should cover our young and protect them. Their spirits are still tender and innocent. A four, eight, eleven year old child should not have burdens so heavy that they can no longer go on. That being said we live in a corrupt world, and if I were to share half of what God brought me through from too tender an age, you would know I understand the testimony a child could have. To place the burden of ministering to a song of an adult in pain should not be placed on a child. If they are truly going through so much, then lets cover them, and show them the joy in praising God, not wallowing or trudging through a lifetime of pain contained in an adults lyrical testimony. Let them dance with open spirits in joy to the Lord, to songs that uplift His name, and celebrate His glory. Let them dance to music that tells of His goodness, not our struggles…let them have a refuge in worship.
