Flags, banners, streamers, have always been symbolic tools to identify, and to proclaim something. They are a covering. When we watch the Olympics or some other international procession, we see each Country’s Flag being proudly carried in a show of national solidarity, or when a banner is carried in a parade, the organization is being shown, like wise streamers traditionally show rank, awards and honor of military personnel. Now when it comes to ministering with these instruments, we too are proclaiming something. Colors represent something as does position. When the instrument waves, it is both a celebration and a proclamation. All to bring honor and glory to God. So when we use flags, banners or streamers, we should keep in mind what we are proclaiming.
