For as long as I can remember, I have danced with my glasses off. I do not wear contacts, though I do have them. This is something I do purposely. Recently one of the younger dancers made a comment about being nervous ministering, and I shared my “secret” with her. I am always nervous, so I dance with my glasses off.

“But” she said, “I don’t have glasses to take off”
“That’s true”, I replied “but you do have the choice at what you see.”
Sometimes our vision is too “me” focused, and we are overly concerned about what others think of us. In Life as well as in visual arts ministry, we need to set our sights, turn our eyes on Jesus. It’s God that we need to see.
