- Yielded (0) November 22, 2013
By nature I am a pretty reserved person. I am most comfortable blending in, and would truly enjoy going unnoticed. But at the Dominion Conference this past weekend, after the Prophetic Dance Class, I was impressed by the Holy Spirit to do something I would never do. As I squirmed in my skin, trying to quiet His voice and deny His urging, I had this one thought. I love God. And what was a giant thing for me, was a small and simple request from Him. So I Yielded. And in the process, I became free. Much of what we do is about others, but every now and again, it is about us. I yielded to His will and He showed up for me. It is in His strength that I minster, in dance, or song, or speech. When I want to crawl under a chair, He stands up inside me, making me bold. As I minister to others, I am myself becoming free. Free from my own opinion of who I am, and resting in the revelation of Whose I am. It’s not about me and my greatness, but about a great God who chooses to show himself through me. And so continually, I yield. God wants to love on you, and heal you and use you. Surrender, yield to His leading, and find yourself free.

- Dance on Auto Pilot (1) November 20, 2013
One of the reasons we have rehearsals repeating parts over and over again, is so that once we are before the people of God, we can forget the choreography, and dance on auto pilot. We then can focus on ministering to those who are before us, and worship God openly, freely, fully confident in the movements our bodies are making as we have trained our bodies to react to the music. Our bodies will do what we have rehearsed, so rehearse full out, arms fully extended, toes pointed and all, even in your private rehearsals.

A good leader has a heart that is filled with compassion for the people of God. They care more for God’s will than their own pride. They do not lead to be seen nor to be thought highly of. Neither do they make a reputation for themselves. They lead because they care. If you are contemplating being a leader, ask God to give you His heart for His people. Ask Him to reveal what He wants to do for them through you, so that when times get difficult you have His vision inside you to cling to.

- A Leaders Heart (0) November 13, 2013
So many desire to lead, and truly it is a noble and brave thing. Many have fallen into a position unaware, some have strategically placed themselves there. Yet God is the ultimate qualifier of a leader. Whenever God calls a leader to come forth, more often than not He chooses an unlikely subject. Moses, a rescued slave child, lead a nation and stood before kings, Gideon, a contraband gardener with an attitude, conquered armies, and my favorite, David, a shepherd boy, became a giant slayer and anointed as king. In each case, God looked at one thing. Their hearts. Each leader was chosen, because they had a heart to follow and a heart to serve, a heart that yielded towards God.
1 Samuel 16:6-7 (KJV)
And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the Lord’s anointed is before him.But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

Many times we want to jump ahead of where we are. Often I imagine myself doing a manuver my body is not ready to perform. Then I realize. No skill I have or have had, was gained over night. I learned and stretched over time. I began with the basics, and learned to do them well. I built a solid foundation before I began to build, and gradually I am acquiring skills to become better.
Isaiah 28:9-10 (KJV)
Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
